I joined Hovis in the summer of 2021 following a successful career with several household brands including Cadbury, Premier Foods, and Carlsberg. I really enjoy working with a recognisable household brand and having that connection to the customer that you get from working in FMCG.
My remit as Commercial Director is broad and evolving. Primarily my team is the custodian of the relationship with our customers and consumers, covering everything including pricing, promotions, marketing and developing new products in line with insights and trends. It’s essential that we work cross-functionally with all other departments and we work hard to ensure we are all connected to deliver the best of the brand and our category.
The phenomenal brand heritage and reputation brought me to Hovis, but it’s the future and our potential that I’m most excited about. There are huge opportunities in our category and our strategy is very focused on exploring that.
Hovis has always been a family favourite! The Best of Both is a staple in our house, and I particularly enjoy Seed Sensations. I also love the muffins and the cheese-topped rolls from our 1886 range. A perk of my job is tasting exciting new products before they launch, and we have some very tasty things on the horizon!
