A Sensational BLT

A BLT sandwich is a classic and simple delight featuring the perfect combination of bacon, lettuce, and tomato slices. These key ingredients are layered between two slices of toasted bread, topped with creamy mayonnaise, to create a flavourful bite.

Ingredients

  • 4 Slices of Hovis® Farmhouse Soft White
  • 6 Rashes of back bacon
  • 2 Tablespoons of mayonnaise
  • 2 Large tomatoes (sliced)
  • 50g Romaine Lettuce (shredded)

Tip

Iceberg, green leaf and Bibb lettuce are great substitutes for Romain lettuce!

Place the back bacon rashers on a foil-lined tray and grill for 7-8 minutes or until golden. Or you can fry in a frying pan with a small teaspoon of oil.

Meanwhile, spread the bread with the mayonnaise. Layer up the lettuce, tomato slices and top with the bacon and the other slice of bread.
