Ingredients

  • 4 Slices of Hovis® Soft White Medium Sliced
  • 1 Tin of tuna (drained)
  • 2 Tablespoons of butter
  • 1 Tablespoon of mayonnaise
  • 100g Mature cheddar cheese (sliced)
  • Salt & Ground black pepper

Tip

Incorporate finely chopped ingredients like celery, red onion, or gherkins for added crunch and flavour.

In a bowl, combine a tin of tuna with a couple of tablespoons of mayonnaise. Season with salt and pepper to taste and set aside.

Evenly spread butter on both sides of each slice of bread. Place one slice, butter-side down, onto the toastie machine. Spread the tuna mayo mixture over the bread on the grill and top with cheddar.

Place the second slice of bread on top, butter-side facing the grill plate. Close the grill (or fry in pan if using) and cook for 4-5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the bread is crispy.
