Trim the crusts off the sliced bread. Spread butter on one side of both slices. On only one of the slices, spread your preferred jam over the buttered side, then sandwich them together.
Use a biscuit, scone, or pastry cutter (a cup or glass would also work!) to stamp out small rounds of bread; the smaller the better!
Arrange the jam pennies on a plate alongside a pot of tea and relish your snack.
